Founded in the 1930s, Revlon is one of the most recognizable cosmetic and personal care companies in the world, so it is no wonder one of its hair dryers made our top 10 list. The Revlon RV544F Perfect Heat is super lightweight, has ionic ceramic heating technology to help reduce frizzy hair and comes with both a diffuser and a concentrator.
This was definitely the lightest hair dryer that we tested, weighing only 13.9 ounces. That lightweight design will make it comfortable to use, but our testers did report that the hair dryer was relatively loud and high-pitched compared to some others we reviewed. We confirmed the noise level of this hair dryer at 93 decibels, making it among the loudest in our tests.
We also measured its temperature range, from its lowest temperature of 81 degrees to its highest temperature of 147 degrees Fahrenheit. This is a wide enough rage to make this Revlon model decent for all hair types.
At 6 feet, the cord length is relatively short and did not give us as much flexibility as some of the other hair dryers we tested. If you'd like a longer cord, you might want to consider the Panasonic Nanoe. Our curly-haired testers said that Revlon's diffuser was not as effective or as quick drying as some of the other diffusers in our review, which partially accounts for the lower performance score. Our testers also said that the cool shot button was more straining on their fingers when pressed. This hair dryer houses a DC motor, which is what helps it be so light; however, DC motors generally don’t last as long as some of the AC motor hair dryers. The filter on this hair dryer swings on a hinge which we found made it simple to remove and reattach it for cleaning.

Summary
With a sound level measuring at 93 decibels, Revlon Perfect Heat is not the quietest hair dryer on our review. However, it is the lightest. Our testing showed that the Revlon Perfect Heat's temperature range, 1,875 watts and medium air speed range make this ionic hair dryer a decent option for all hair types.
